Hi. I'm Ty Johnson! A Natural Hair Care Educator, Licensed Cosmetologist, Licensed Cosmetology Instructor, Certified Head Spa Technician, Founder of Healthy Curl Collective, and passionate advocate for helping people build healthier relationships with their hair.
For more than 10 years, I've dedicated my career to one mission:

Because healthy hair isn't created by trends or products alone. It begins with education, intentional care, and understanding the unique needs of your hair and scalp.
Whether I'm working 1:1 with a client, teaching future beauty professionals, leading community workshops, developing educational resources, or speaking at events, my goal is always the same: to make natural hair care approachable, empowering, and rooted in knowledge that lasts.

How I Create Impact
As a Natural Hair Care Educator, I combine professional cosmetology and trichology education with holistic hair and scalp wellness to create experiences and routines that are practical and evidence-based.
My work includes:
1. Healthy Hair & Scalp Analysis: Healthy hair begins with understanding. Through personalized hair and scalp assessments, I help identify concerns, uncover contributing factors, and create intentional care plans that support long-term hair and scalp health.
2. Natural Hair Care Education: I empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence to care for textured hair through practical, science-informed education. From hair care fundamentals to healthy hair routines, my goal is to simplify natural hair care and promote lasting results.
3. Curriculum Development: I design engaging, culturally responsive educational resources, workshops, and training materials that make natural hair care accessible for learners of all ages and experience levels. Every curriculum is created with practical application and long-term impact in mind.
